We are down to the serious end of the Winter Competition, with just one more round, before the top 2 teams play off in the grand final games! Next week’s game outcomes are crucial! Our WSL1 team will be playing for a grand final spot next week, when they take on NYPD – a win or a draw will see them through! Our YthG are current ladder leaders, but will need to await other game results this weekend, as well as their own game outcomes next Tues night and the following weekend to secure their spot. Our men are in the action too, with the SL4 boys guaranteed a spot in the grand final, win or lose next week – providing they do not forfeit the game. Our MSL5 team are also in the running, having snared second place on the ladder with an impressive win this week. Playing a bottom side for their final round, there will be no excuses for these guys if they come up short… So an exciting conclusion to the Winter Competition looms!

STATE CHAMPS START JULY 29!
There is only a short gap between the end of the Winter Competition, and the start of the next competition – the State Championships. We will most likely, be entering the same number of teams we currently field. However, this will depend on the following :
1. Players will need to confirm via email ASAP, that they intend to play in the State Champs
Girls email Darren : email@example.com
Boys email Andy : firstname.lastname@example.org
2. All players (irrespective of when you joined) need to renew their membership
BEFORE 25 July
3. Memberships need to be renewed online with credit card payment
(we will advise when available)
The club is in the process of setting our fees for the 2014-15 season. We have been the cheapest Melbourne club for some time, but we will need to adjust our fees to reflect increases in Waterpolo Victoria’s fees. Where possible, we will try to cover increases with fundraising. Once fees have been set, members will be notified, and online registration/payments will need to be made. Players will not be able to train and play games beyond June 30, when all current registrations and insurance, expire.
The AGM was held this week, and I am delighted to announce the following office bearers –
