The girls 18/U National Club Championships were held over the last week up in Sydney, with 16 clubs from all over Australia competing. Essendon was the only Victorian team. The girls had a fantastic tournament, and only just missed the opportunity to play in the finals, finishing a very credible 5th! Well done to Darren and the girls again, for displaying some fine water polo to the rest of Australia, and doing us proud! There are some photos in the wrap this week…
WINTER COMPETITION -GAME ON!
The first games were held this week, and there isn’t much to report on…. literally!
The women struggled for numbers in SL2 and SL3 with a total of 12 girls making it to the pool… whilst the men’s SL5 team had just 6 players…
No word at all on what happened with the MSL4s….
Can everyone PLEASE let Darren know (girls) or Andy know (boys) – if you CANNOT get to game. It is very disappointing or those who make the effort to get to the pool, only to face a forfeit, or play a game with only 6. Please don’t put your team mates in that position.
