Water Polo Victoria, with the assistance of Vicsport, is currently undertaking an analysis of female participation in the sport. Currently females are underrepresented in all levels of participation in Victoria. This project is gathering information that will help to determine pathways, barriers and enablers for female participants including athletes, coaches and referees.
The following survey link is designed to gather information from players, coaches and referees. Both male and females are encouraged to complete the survey.
There are different questions according to the different roles identified. If for example, you are a player who coaches it would be appreciated if you could complete the survey twice however please note you will need to complete the survey then commence a new one by clicking on the survey link in this email.
It is expected that parents or guardians of junior water polo players up to the age of 12 will complete this survey on behalf of their children. Junior participants 12 years of age and over can complete this survey on their own or with their parents/ guardians supervision. Additionally parents with an interest in water polo can complete the survey on their own behalf.
Please note your details and responses will be kept in separate password-protected files. You will not be identified in reports developed from the survey and if your responses are quoted any personal information that could potentially allow you to be identified will be removed. If at any time you wish to access your data or have this removed from our files you may do so.
The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and will be open until the 17th May 2015. Thank you for your time.
