Another round has been completed in the Winter Competition as we approach the halfway mark.
Player registrations across the board (sub-juniors, youth and seniors) will expire on June 30 following the completion of the Winter Competition. Club fees for the 2017-2018 season will be announced soon, so you can organise your budget for the remainder of the year. We continue to keep fees as low as possible thanks in large to our sponsors and club fundraising events.
Now here’s the latest news and reminders :
1. TRAINING
As usual, training will be on at VU on Monday night from 7.30pm (sub-juniors, youth and seniors)
2. CLUB BATHERS
At present, I have received bather requests from girls/women, numbering 11. None from the men. If you have yet to email me, please do so ASAP as we will need to make a decision very soon as to whether an order will be placed and what the costs will be.
3. WINDY HILL FITNESS CENTRE (WHFC)
For many years, our club trained at this facility before moving to VU. The WHFC is associated with the Essendon Football Club who are responsible for the majority of our club’s funding via the Essendon Football and Community Sporting Clubs (EFCSC). The EFCSC support us each year to the tune of around $10,000 so it’s important we continue to support the group. The WHFC are currently offering our members a discounted corporate membership rate, and have special deals on team training. 4. ESSENDON GIRLS INTO THE FINALS
Most of you will have seen via our facebook page that Maddy Steere’s Michigan college team and Milly Pullyblank’s Wagner college team have both made it to the final 8 teams to play off in the NCAA Tournament finals in Indiana. Good luck to both girls! Keep an eye on facebook for updates… PS – It was great to see Brett Pullyblank back at MSAC the last 2 weeks… guess he just can’t get enough waterpolo!
