After 2 weeks away from the pool, we were back in the thick of it this week. Clearly some senior players have lost a bit of form over the break… but we still have 4 of our 6 teams in contention for a finals berth so please remember training is on EVERY Monday night! Well… when the pool is open, and not being repaired 😉

1. JUNIOR COMPETITION STARTS THIS WEEKEND!
Yes, it’s that time… with our younger group of players finally get their turn to compete. There is usually 15 rounds plus a finals series – paralleling Term 4 (2016) and then Term 1 (2017) with a break for the Xmas/School holiday period. A partial fixture covering the first 3 rounds has been posted on our website :
This year Essendon have entered two teams, a mixed 12/U and a girls 14/U (a combined team with DVE Aquatic). Good luck to all our young players on their Round 1 clashes this Sunday!
2. JUNIOR WRAPS AND PHOTOS
As most of you will know, we like to cover all our club matches each week, with a written or photographic report of some kind. It doesn’t need to be fancy or quality journalism (just look at some of the men’s reports!). It would be great if we got a few parents on board to share the role, and submit some photos (taking some team shots with your phone is all that is required). You don’t necessarily need to know alot about the game; in fact sometimes it’s best not to let the facts get in the way of a good story. Without your help, we can’t include reports or photos from your child’s game each week. Please let Alex or Darren Steere know how you can assist us with this.
