We are now one third of the way through the State Championships with 5 of our 6 teams sitting in the top 4. There will be a finals series for this competition after Round 15, that could see your team having to play on a different night (than usual). Finals will be played on a Saturday, Tuesday or Thursday. As we get closer, and your team’s involvement is clear, please ensure you don’t let your teammates down with unavailability! The finals schedule is included at the bottom of each fixture, so please plan ahead :

2. BON VOYAGE
This week we said goodbye to two of our SL1 and Victorian Seals players. Emily McGowan flew out to Nice, in France where she will be based for the next phase of her water polo career competing for a new club. We wish Emily every success and look forward to hearing about her progress.
We also said farewell to Maddy Steere, fleeting home from Rio – then back on a flight to the USA. Maddy will be attending Michigan State University enabling her to play in the very competitive college water polo tournaments. A fabulous opportunity for Maddy, that will enhance an already strong start to her career in the sport.
Good luck ladies!
3. BABY NEWS
Congratulations to our MSL5 player Daniel “Gilbo” Gilbertson and his wife Caroline, who are expecting their first child around Christmas time.
