NEWS THIS WEEK
1. REFEREE COURSE
Water Polo Victoria will be running another Level 1 Referee Course on Monday 7thSeptember in the Outdoor Marshalling Room at MSAC (6.45-9.15pm). This will be the last opportunity to undertake the course prior to the commencement of the Sub-Junior competition in October. The course is open to all ages, and we strongly encourage and support junior players to become referees. Registration details for the course can be found here : https://reg.sportingpulse.com/v6/regoform.cgi?eventID=1038&formID=52104
There is a $20 fee involved, which the club will re-imburse once you have completed the course. There is also some pre-course “homework” to do – so WPV advise you to register earlier, rather than later to give yourself plenty of time to get this done (don’t panic, it’s not hard!). Registrations will close Friday 4th September and spaces are limited.
2. SEALS “EXPERIENCE” DAYS
Beginners and new members to the sport of water polo are encouraged to attend these fun-filled “experience” days hosted by the Melbourne Seals : Saturday August 29 (for those born 2003 or later) and Sunday August 30 (for those born 2001 or later). The Seals will run anintroductory program, and then direct participants to their nearest club. If you have friends, relatives or kids who might enjoy this – please pass on the information. You have to register for this event, as numbers are capped. More details on times and costs can be found here : http://essendonwaterpolo.asn.au/experience-water-polo-with-the-seals/
